It started with two lawyers in Bengaluru. One grew up walking among century-old Assam estates. The other was over the caffeine chaos of the city grind. Both saw the same problem: the world was sipping Indian tea at its peak, while Indians were drinking the leftovers—dusty bags dressed up as “premium.”
Xah exists to fix that.
At the helm is Kalyani Kulkarni, our founder-in-chief, a lawyer by education and an executive coach. Now, she's a full-time tea head. She brings sharp strategy, bold vision, and the kind of leadership that actually listens. Her obsession? Connecting people and cultures through the simple, radical act of good tea.
Guiding our craft is a council of multi-generational planters and veteran tea tasters from Assam—people who know their soil, their leaves, and their legacy. No gimmicks, just generational knowledge and obsessive quality control.
