Plucked at dawn from the high slopes of Coonoor in the Nilgiris, using only the youngest unopened buds of the tea plant, then gently withered and air-dried with almost no processing. No rolling. No roasting. No drama. Just craft.

The result is a tea that feels like a deep breath.

Terroir & Origin

Grown in the cool, misty highlands of Coonoor, Nilgiri teas are famous for their clarity, light body and soft floral finish. The altitude, consistent cloud cover, and slow growth give Platinum Needle its signature smoothness and subtle sweetness. It takes thousands of handpicked buds to make a small batch.
This is mountain tea. Clean. Quiet. Focused.

The Craft

Platinum Needle is made using only the tender top buds, harvested by hand for a few short weeks each year. These buds are naturally silver-tipped and covered with fine down, then slowly air-withered and dried to preserve their essential oils and aroma.

This is one of the least processed teas in the world.
Which means every mistake shows.
So none are allowed.

Tasting Notes

White tea naturally contains less caffeine than green or black tea, especially when brewed gently. Platinum Needle delivers clarity without buzz, making it ideal for late afternoons, early evenings, or anyone trying to love their nervous system a little more.

Simple Brew Guide

The Perfect Cup:

1. Use more tea: 2 tsp for 200ml (it’s light and fluffy!).

2. Use cooler water: 75-80°C (170-176°F). Never boiling.

3. Steep patiently: Let it infuse for 3-4 minutes. Watch the buds open.

4. Re-steep: Good for 2-3 infusions. Each brew reveals new subtle notes.

Iced Tip: Steep normally, then pour over ice. Unbelievably crisp.

Pro tip: Use softer water. White tea is sensitive and remembers everything.
